Right-of-Way Software for Street Incidents

Unplanned street incidents demand a rapid response. Envista’s dynamic map-based solution makes it easy to pinpoint the location of incidents and to create a coordinated plan of action.

Envista Street Incidents enables the management and coordination of unplanned incidents and their related traffic impacts across a wide range of departments. Users of the solution are municipal departments that are involved in incident preparedness, real-time incident management, traffic management, public communication, and safety issues related to unplanned incidents. In addition, outside entities such as major utility companies can be consulted real-time during the incident.

To enable coordination across a wide range of user departments such as Public Safety, Traffic, Transportation, Public Works, and Public Information, users see and share incidents on the Envista web-based map in real time. They are able to communicate via the application in the form of updates, email notifications, and alerts, and to receive communications in the field by smart phone. Access to information is tailored by the user organization and, if desired, information can be exported via web services to a public website.

In addition, users can maintain street construction and maintenance projects on the map. When an incident occurs, the application automatically checks for conflicts with construction projects and planned events to minimize impacts on residents.

 


Envista automatically geo-locates incidents including vehicular accidents, explosions, fires, utility breaks, and hazardous material spills, as well as their related traffic routing and impacts such as road closures, detours, parking restrictions, variable message signs, and traffic officers.
