Envista 2010 Release 1 includes new features that affect expanded functional areas such as *Special Events *Permitting *Traffic *Safety *Transportation and the *Public Information Office.
In addition to infrastructure project coordination, Envista 2010 Release 1 supports municipalities, utilities, and government agencies with location "intelligence" about the many activities that take place in the Right of Way:
Special Events-- Envista’s new release enables you to coordinate and communicate responses to all types of municipal Special Events including parades, road races, and festivals. Envista automatically maps event locations as well as related impacts such as traffic routing, parking, variable message signs, traffic officers, and more.
Street Incidents-- For unplanned events, street incidents, and emergencies that demand a rapid response, Envista's new release lets you map the location of incidents and to create a coordinated plan of action. For the first time, non-GIS users can map the location of incidents and responses to communicate them via the web.
Permits-- By showing permits on a web-based map, the new release provides instant location "intelligence" to the permitting process. This functionality is available only from Envista. Municipal personnel and utilities can see information such as construction and maintenance projects, moratoriums on digging, special events, and unplanned incidents and emergencies. Inspectors can see maps and contacts on smart phones and PDAs.
