Customer Renewals Soar for Envista’s Online Map-Based Coordination
June 30, 2011

Improved Efficiency and Insight Now Extending Across Multiple ROW Activities

Beverly, Mass. – June 30, 2011 – Envista Corporation, the world’s leading provider of enterprise map-based coordination solutions for right-of-way (ROW) management via the web, today announced substantial growth in customer renewals and new business for its Enterprise ROW Coordination Suite for the first half of the year ending June 30, 2011.  A representative list of new and renewing municipalities include the cities of Corpus Christi, Tex., Edmonton, Alberta (Canada), Hampton, Va., Newport News, Va. and Virginia Beach, Va., as well as Howard County, Md. and Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (NKAPC). Utilities renewing their Envista subscriptions in the same period include Birmingham (Ala.) Water Works, DC Water and Sewer Authority, Hampton Roads (Va.) Sanitation District, and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), along with new business subscribers Maryland Transit Administration and Pennsylvania American Water.

While customer adoption of Envista’s flagship Project Coordination solution remains strong, an increasing number of customers are extending their subscriptions to include additional modules from the company’s Enterprise Suite, including Permit Workflow Management, the ability to apply for and track permits online; Street Events, which manages events such as parades and road races, displaying traffic impacts such as road closures, detours, parking restrictions, etc.; Street Incidents, which alerts users to any unplanned incidents in relation to construction, maintenance or events; Attachment Management, which allows users to upload, download, store and view important projects and permit-related documents; and Citizen’s View, which exports map-based information for posting on public websites.

Brad Steer, Envista’s Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, said, “As our recently renewed customers can attest, once users discover how much more efficient and informative it is to coordinate online with our map-based solution, they cannot imagine working any other way.  Many customers are realizing significant savings in paving costs, which is particularly important in this challenging economic climate.  The efficiency gains from having information on all types of activities occurring in or affecting the ROW is also prompting Envista customers to adopt additional modules in our Enterprise Suite. The value of the solution grows as more activities and more stakeholders within a city or region share information through the online map-based environment.”
